Open Studio

Hello,
Oh boy it's been such a long time since my last post, but here at LoViHandmade we have been busy getting ready for this open studio.
It will be held in my home on Saturday 27th November, from 10.00 until 2.00.
Honey B cupcakes (aka Barbara) will be there selling all sorts of scrumptious goodies. Heather of ragbutton fame will also be showcasing her lovely textile work and handmade cards. There will also be lots of lovely homebaked items made by Joan of Good to Eat and not forgetting LoViHandmade's knitting and crochet.
Tea and coffee will be served and a percentage of the profits will go to Children in Need.
So, come along get some Christmas gifts and help charity.

See you there...

It's been a long time

I almost forgot I had a blog...
I will be posting an update of what I've been up to. So, hang in there, I'll be updating soon.

Busy, busy, busy...

This is quite a long post, but hopefully it will give you a flavour of what I make.
It's been busy here at LoViHandmade the last few weeks.
This was the scene this morning as I sat in the kitchen with the May issue of "Country Homes and Interiors", a cup of Red bush tea and some hooky happiness...
We have just finished an order for our dishcloths. This was an order that DB (Dear Brother) got from some work colleagues. I think they look rather cute and hope that they will like them. DM (Dear Mum) knit the dishcloths and I crocheted around the edges.

I've also been trying out my new MOO cards and using them as swing tickets. they work quite well, but when I order more I think I will use a single colour and matching ribbon.
Here are some of the Easter birdie brooches I made from felt with little touches of embroidery.
Here are some more, but a different shape...
Then, here are some Daisy brooches to put you in the mood for Spring...
This is a selection of the Heart brooches I made for Valentines Day

Paddy's Day

Happy St Patrick's day to one and all.
I wonder if St Patrick will turn the warm side of the stone over, so that we will have a few weeks of good weather?

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and especially to my DM (Dear Mum) These are the flowers she got.
DM requested a chair for sitting in the garden, but she also got a lovely mug for drinking tea when she's sitting in the chair and a Chanel lipstick so she looks gorgeous whilst doing both.

Hello

Hello, this is where I plan to share and showcase all my handcrafted items. I hope one day to be able to sell them from this blog, but that will have to wait until I am more competent at this blogging malarkey.
I suppose this blog should be called "Three Stitches", because I knit, crochet and sew. Perhaps I'm easily bored.
Anyway, over the coming weeks and months I will share my creative activities and introduce you to my family and friends.
Bye for now...
